My Rescue Response Story

by Michelle

I adopted my papillon Chloe just under a year ago. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was a breeder. When she came into rescue she needed to have a lot of teeth pulled. She was scared and unsure of a lot. She seemed to have not experienced grass or walking on a leash. She was terrified of wood floors (still is somewhat nervous). She has come a long ways in the past year... She trusts me, loves walks, is starting to cuddle and looks a lot healthier. Her adopted sister Sunny (who I already had when I adopted Chloe) has helped her immensely. Chloe still is nervous on different types of flooring and is scared of thunderstorms and some stairs. I think it would be very beneficial for her to be in this treatment. She has come a long ways, but still has further to go.
